Terise Kettle joined Barita Investments Limited in March 2020 in the capacity of Vice President, Investment Banking. Since joining the Barita Investments Limited team, Terise has led several capital markets transactions with the most notable ones being the Barita Investments Limited and Derrimon Trading Company Limited’s APO and more recently the pending Massy Holdings Limited Cross Listing on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

Terise has over fourteen (14) years of experience in banking (retail, corporate and investment banking) with her most recent prior to joining Barita Investments Limited being the role of Assistant Vice President – Corporate Banking at Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited. During her tenure at Sagicor, she led several syndicated transactions including the largest syndicated transaction in Jamaica in 2017. She started her career as an external auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Ms. Kettle holds an MBA (Distinction) specialising in Banking and Finance from the University of the West Indies, Mona School of Business and Management and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Management Studies and Accounting.

Ms. Kettle has also completed several post graduate certification programmes including Project Management, Portfolio Management, Credit Risk Management, and Complex Accounting for Corporations.

Juan Carlos Lorenzo is a Managing Director and Head of Latin America DCM at Jefferies. Juan has over 30 years of experience in investment banking focused on leveraged finance, debt capital markets, and debt advisory in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

He joined Jefferies in September 2019 as Head of Latin America& Caribbean DCM and prior to this, Mr. Lorenzo spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs in various capacities including as Managing Director and Head of Latin America DCM. Over his extensive career, Mr. Lorenzo has originated and led the execution of leveraged finance, debt capital markets, and debt advisory transactions in the United States and Latin America including multiple acquisition financings, pre-IPO and early-stage financings, project financings, high-yield and investment-grade bonds, and in-court and out-of-court restructurings. He executed some of the most notable transactions in Latin America in the past ten years covering a wide range of sectors including financial institutions, sovereign and quasi sovereign entities, telecommunications, oil and gas, infrastructure, power, consumer products, business services, and metals and mining.

Mr. Lorenzo holds an MBA in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Oregon.

Mr. Shaw is a Caribbean regional expert practitioner and academic in the areas of loan administration, lending, credit analysis and collection techniques. His distinguished career spans nearly 30 years including position as an economist with the Bank of Jamaica, the Credit Manager of several banks to include Merchant, Investment and a Mutual Society. Mr. Shaw was also Assistant General Manager at City of Kingston Co-operative Credit Union Ltd, with responsibility for Credit Administration & Operations—retail, corporate administration, recoveries, risk management, policy development and branch network management. Mr. Shaw has comfortably combined the practice of credit administration with academia and has been a course lecturer and coordinator at the University of Technology (School of Business Administration), Jamaica.

Mr. Shaw is a Senior Lecturer at UTECH Jamaica and currently teaches courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Credit Analysis, Corporate Finance, Lending and International Financial Management, Risk Management, Portfolio Investment Management, Small and Medium Enterprise Financing and Advanced Securities.  He is also an adjunct faculty member of the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean and the JSE e-Campus in their post graduate programmes.

He is a graduate of the UWI mona and Manchester Business School and a current doctoral candidate at the University of Technology, Jamaica. Mr. Shaw is a certified trainer for the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and holds professional certifications in risk and wealth management.

Prior to joining SEAF, he founded Williams & Associates Investments, an investment advisory firm focused on raising capital for firms in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean region. He is a former executive and International Business Development Manager of Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited (JMMB), integral in the establishment of JMMB in the Dominican Republic. A former Director of the Jamaican Stock Exchange, and a Director on JCSD Board of Directors. 

Mr. Williams has also led several divisions within General Electric USA and Spain and was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. Fluent in Spanish and is studied in his knowledge of Latin America and the Caribbean region. Mr. Williams has assisted companies to launch and grow globally, including into non-English speaking markets.

He holds a BSc. in Engineering from Princeton University, an MSc. in Engineering, MA in International Studies and an MBA from Wharton School of Business all from the University of Pennsylvania.
