Shullette A. Cox
Shullette Cox assumed the role of President of the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) in February 2023, bringing over 20 years of distinguished service within the organization. Her visionary leadership and steadfast commitment are central to advancing JAMPRO’s mandate to promote and facilitate exports, investments, and business linkages in support of Jamaica’s sustained economic growth.
In her capacity as President, Mrs. Cox leads Jamaica’s national promotional programmes for export, investment and linkages across multiple sectors and spearheaded the development of Jamaica’s first National Investment Policy. Mrs. Cox brings extensive expertise in policy advocacy, strategic problem-solving to remove roadblocks to exports and investment, research and packaging of business opportunities, and the coordination of public–private partnerships to deliver measurable economic outcomes.
She oversees major transformative national reform initiatives aimed at improving the investment climate and strengthening Jamaica’s global competitiveness. These include the National Competitiveness Council, the Jamaica National Brand initiative, and the Jamaica Business Gateway.
Beyond her executive leadership, Mrs. Cox serves on several national and regional boards, including the Jamaica Special Economic Zone Authority, the Cannabis Licensing Authority, the Jamaica International Financial Services Authority, and the Caribbean Export Development Agency. In addition, she serves as Chairperson of the Integrated Resorts Development Enterprise Team, helping to shape strategic direction across institutions vital to Jamaica’s national development.
Mrs. Cox holds a Master of Arts in Development Economics and professional certifications in change management and mediation, supported by training in project management, finance, and estate planning. Her breadth of experience and results-driven leadership continue to shape Jamaica’s economic landscape at both the national and regional levels.
