Mrs. Marlene Street Forrest is the Managing Director of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) and Director of both its subsidiaries. Her mandate is to continue the process of developing the JSE Group and particularly the Exchange, in an atmosphere of transparency and fairness while utilizing appropriate technology in providing the greatest possible efficiencies to the market.

Mrs. Street Forrest has a wealth of experience, having worked in senior management positions at varying private and public sector organizations in Jamaica and overseas. Under her stewardship the JSE became mutualized and the US Denominated Market and the Junior Market were launched. She also spearheaded the Registrar Division of the Jamaica Central Securities Depository (JCSD) when she served as General Manager for this subsidiary of the JSE. The Most Honourable Andrew Michael Holness was first elected as Member of Parliament (MP) to represent the Constituency of West Central St. Andrew in 1997, at the age of 25. Now in his fourth consecutive term as MP, Mr. Holness became Jamaica’s ninth Prime Minister after the Jamaica Labour Party defeated the People’s National Party at the polls on February 25, 2016.

Mr. Holness has pledged to build real partnerships with the Private Sector, Civil Society, the Diaspora, the Opposition and International Partners in order to achieve the vision of shared prosperity for all Jamaicans through inclusive economic growth and meaningful job creation.

Mr. Holness first served as Head of Government from October 2011 to January 2012 having succeeded former Prime Minister the Honourable Bruce Golding.

Prior to assuming the awesome responsibility of leading the nation, Mr. Holness has worked steadily at various levels of the political and governance systems. He has focused on several key portfolios areas including: social welfare, community development, housing and education. However, it is in the area of Education that Mr. Holness found his passion and distinguished himself both as the Opposition Spokesperson on Education and in the Cabinet as Minister of Education.

He is by nature an innovator and a visionary; attributes which have underscored Mr. Bartlett’s forty years of successful service to the nation. Mr. Bartlett was first appointed Minister of Tourism in 2007, serving until December 2011. Steven Gooden is the Chief Executive Officer of NCB Capital Markets Limited, which under his leadership has expanded into the southern and eastern Caribbean via the establishment of hubs in the Cayman Islands, Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados. Mr. Gooden’s ascension to executive management was at 26 years old when he was appointed General Manager for one of Jamaica’s leading fund management companies. Therese Turner-Jones has been the IDB’s country representative for Jamaica since 2013. In 2017 her portfolio was expanded when she was promoted to general manager of IDB’s Country Department Caribbean Group (CCB). Her purview spans IDB operations in Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago and her home country, the Bahamas.

A trained economist, Mrs. Turner-Jones has over 25 years experience in macroeconomics and economic development, with special emphasis on the Caribbean. She served the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in senior posts for over 20 years. She was a former Deputy Division Chief for the IMF’s Caribbean II Division, Western Hemisphere Department and a former advisor to the Executive Director for Canada, Ireland, and the Caribbean.

She holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom. She is also an alumnus of the University of Toronto, and United World Colleges (Lester Pearson College). A member of the International Women’s Forum, Mrs. Turner Jones is passionate about financial inclusion, gender equity, children, vulnerable communities and the environment. Professor the Hon. Henry Lowe, a scientist who specializes in medicinal chemistry, has contributed approximately 50 years in the fields of science and technology, energy, the environment, wellness and health sciences nationally, regionally and internationally since graduating from the University of the West Indies, Mona. As a result of his outstanding work in these areas he has earned several recognitions nationally and regionally, including the Order of Jamaica in August 2012 and Commander of the Order of Distinction in 1982. He has also served on several public and private sector boards. Dr. Lowe is not only recognized as one of the regions outstanding scientists but also public servant, author, educator and successful entrepreneur.

A former Permanent Secretary for the Government of Jamaica, Dr. Lowe researched and established the first Ministry of Science & Environment in the CARICOM region. He served as Chairman as well as President & CEO of Blue Cross of Jamaica. Dr. Lowe is founder and Executive Chairman of the EHF Group of Companies, which includes a private, not for profit organization, Environmental Health Foundation (EHF), established in 1992, to enhance the quality of people’s lives in Jamaica.

Dr. Lowe has discovered several bioactive molecules from Jamaican medicinal plants (particularly Jamaican Ball Moss) which are being developed for cancer therapy, diabetes and HIV/AIDS. He is also the holder of 2 patents based on the areas of his research in nutraceuticals and chronic diseases. Along with Drs. West and Lockhart, Dr. Lowe developed the first commercial product from Ganja for the treatment of Glaucoma.

Dr. Lowe is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine, USA and Distinguished Adjunct Professor of Ethno-medicinal Chemistry, University of Technology, Jamaica.

Having completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics at City University, United Kingdom, in 2001, Anthony began his career with the Group at Trinidad Publishing Company (now Guardian Media Ltd) as the Promotions and Circulations Manager.

Herbert joined NCBCM in October 2007 as a Global Economist with the Research Team and later spearheaded the build out of the Corporate Wealth Advisory team within which he held the post of Executive Corporate Wealth Advisor. Herbert is a thought leader and is frequently asked to shares his knowledge on various topics including (a) financing of water, wastewater and energy (b) private and public sector led infrastructure development and financing (c) regional capital markets development as well as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (“MSME”) funding. He has worked for major banks in Haiti, namely Unibank and Sogebank, during his 20-year career as a Commercial Banker. Mr. Cook is primarily responsible for the development of a range of services to companies listed on the CSE and for the composition and maintenance of the CSE Composite Index. He has been a member of the executive management team of the exchange since 2002. He currently serves on the Ontario Securities Commission’s Small and Medium Enterprise Advisory Committee. Immediately prior to joining the CSE, he held the position of V-P Market Surveillance, Market Regulation Services Inc., which was created in 2001 by the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) and the Investment Dealers Association of Canada (IDA) to regulate Canadian markets.

Annya Walker holds the position of Vice President— Strategy, Research, Innovation and Projects at NCB Capital Markets Limited. Cumulatively, Ms. Walker’s experience spans sixteen years in the financial services industry, fourteen of which was spent in service to the NCB Financial Group in various leadership capacities. Prior to her employment at NCB, she worked as an Economist at the Bank of Jamaica.

Currently, her role includes, inter alia, having strategic oversight of NCB Capital Markets and its subsidiaries, the development and launch of new products, services and channels, including the company’s transition to digital service offerings, as well as research and investment strategies for clients.
Ms. Walker has spearheaded the launch of NCBCM’s suite of unit trust funds, margin and secured loan facilities, online investment and GoIPO platforms and the set up NCB Capital Markets (Barbados) Limited. She has also led the NCB Capital Markets Research team to three consecutive wins of the Jamaica Stock Exchange’s Annual Market Research Competition.

Ms. Walker holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and an M.Sc. in Economics (Distinction) from the University of the West Indies. She has also participated in executive development courses at The Wharton School and Chicago Boothe School of Business in strategy, leadership and digital marketing and analytics.

Jordan Baskett is the Founder and CEO of CRMmetry, the first Salesforce consultancy in the English-speaking Caribbean. He is six-times Salesforce certified with a demonstrated history of success in the computer software industry, experienced in the areas of negotiation, sales,  telesales, e-commerce, and customer relationship management (CRM).

CRMmetry was founded by Jordan and his wife, Andrea Johnson, two years ago to bring the expertise of Salesforce consultancy to Jamaica. The dynamic duo and their team have a diverse history of not only implementing enterprise technology but building and customizing  software to fit the complex needs of their clients, which come from a range of industries including technology, entertainment, media, retail, logistics, banking and capital markets, energy and utilities.

Prior to moving to Jamaica and starting CRMmetry, Jordan lived and worked in the Greater New York City Area for close to 11 years. He worked with a number of major companies such as cybersecurity giant Comodo, now Sectigo, Yahoo!, Monster.com, Sterling Infosystems (now SterlingBackcheck), and roundCorner, which he officially departed in 2018 after almost three-and-a-half years as a Principal Consultant.

Jordan holds a Bachelor of Business Science (BBS) degree in Marketing from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Carlson School of Management. He is also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, one of the largest fraternities in the United States.
