Dr. Marlene Street Forrest is the Managing Director of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) and Director of both its subsidiaries. Her mandate is to continue the process of developing the JSE Group and particularly the Exchange, in an atmosphere of transparency and fairness while utilizing appropriate technology in providing the greatest possible efficiencies to the market.

Dr. Street Forrest has a wealth of experience having worked in senior management positions at varying private and public sector organizations here in Jamaica and overseas. Under her stewardship, the JSE became demutualized and the US Denominated Market and the Junior Market were launched. She also spearheaded the Registrar Division of the Jamaica Central Depository (JCSD) when she served as General Manager for this subsidiary of the JSE.

Dr. Street Forrest attended the University of the West Indies, Mona, where she read for the Bachelors Degree in Management Studies and later gained her Masters in Business Administration at the Barry University in Florida.

She is a Certified Business Consultant and a member of the International Association of Professional Business Consultants (IAPO). Dr. Street Forrest stays current with issues that impact the Market such as Cybersecurity, Data Protection and Enterprise Risk Management and is trained in these areas.

In 2016, Dr. Street Forrest was conferred with the honour of the Order of Distinction in the Rank of Commander (CD) in recognition of her outstanding leadership in the growth of the Jamaica Stock Exchange. In that same year she also received the Afroglobal Excellence Award for Global Impact from Canada for exhibiting great leadership, vision, integrity and commitment to excellence.

She was an Observer Business Leader Nominee in 2017 and was also celebrated by the Institute for Gender and Development Studies – UWI as a Woman Pioneer. In 2018 she received the Rotary Club of Kingston East and Port Royal Vocational Services Award and was recognized by the Alex Ihama School of Greatness as the Business Leader of the Decade in 2020.

Dr. Street Forrest was conferred with a Honorary Doctoral Degree in Public Policy by the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean on July 18, 2021 for her contribution to nation building. She is also the 2021 recipient of the Soroptimist International (Jamaica) Stella Gregory Award which is presented annually to an outstanding woman, who has excelled in her chosen field and has contributed to national development.

She is the Author of the book “On Leadership Discipline Discretion and Daring” and Co-Author of “Steps to Good Governance”.

Dr. Street Forrest is a Justice of the Peace and serves as a Director for the Good Samaritan Inn, a Christian outreach aimed at uplifting the poor and marginalized. She also serves on the Board of the National Commission of Science and Technology and the PSOJ Corporate Governance Committee.

Prime Minister of Jamaica

The Most Honourable Andrew Michael Holness is dedicated to Jamaica’s transformative development and the creation of an efficient and effective society in which all citizens, irrespective of their socio-economic status can thrive. He is committed to fiscal responsibility, technological advancement, infrastructure development, socio-cultural reform, sustained peace and harmony, national resilience and a universally acceptable minimum standard of life for all Jamaicans, who are empowered to pursue opportunities for self-determination and personal success.

Prime Minister Holness created history in 2011, when at the age of 39, he became the youngest person to be elected Prime Minister of Jamaica, and the first Prime Minister to have been born after independence in 1962.

At just 25 years old, he was elected to the House of Representatives as a Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Constituency of West Central St. Andrew. To date, he holds the record as the youngest elected MP in Jamaica. He is currently serving four unbroken terms in the House, giving more than 20 years of service as an elected representative.

Prime Minister Holness has held several high-level positions, within both the Executive and Legislative branches of the Government of Jamaica which enabled him to work in several key sectors, such as social welfare, community development, housing, and education.

Since taking over the leadership of the country in 2016, the focus of his Government has been sustainable economic growth, meaningful job creation, building out Jamaica’s housing sector for both the financially secure, and the vulnerable.

The Prime Minister has presided over major infrastructure development programmes, an expanded social safety net for young children and the elderly, an economy enjoying a strong international rating and an enhanced international profile. Under his leadership, Jamaica has staged a powerful economic recovery from the overlapping global shocks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in the Ukraine. Jamaica’s economic output is now higher than pre-pandemic levels, debt-to-GDP is below pre-pandemic levels and the unemployment rate is the lowest in its history.

Among Prime Minister Holness’ current priorities for Jamaica, is for it to emerge as the first digital society in the Caribbean. Prime Minister Holness has also been at the forefront, leading and driving the discussion and the policies on national, regional and international platforms on the issue of climate change.

His Excellency, Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali, was sworn in as Guyana’s Ninth Executive President on August 2, 2020.

Dr Ali is one of two sons of his parents, who are both educators. He was born on April 25, 1980, into a Muslim, Indo-Guyanese family at Leonora, West Coast Demarara. His early education started at Leonora Nursery and Primary schools and progressed to the Cornelia Ida Primary School, while he completed his secondary education at the St Stanislaus College in Georgetown.

Dr Ali is the holder of a Doctorate in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the West Indies, a Master of Arts Degree in Manpower Planning, a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business, a Post- Graduate Certificate in Finance from Anglia Ruskin University, an LLM Degree in International Commercial Law at the University of Salford and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons.) in Business Management from the University of Sunderland.

He was also a member of the Canadian Institute of Management (up to 2017) and Project Management Professional-PMP (2006).

He previously served as Project Manager of the Caribbean Development Bank’s Project Implementation Unit in the Ministry of Finance and Senior Planner in the State Planning Secretariat. He became a member of the National Assembly of Guyana in 2006 and was subsequently appointed to the portfolios of Minister of Housing and Water and Minister of Tourism Industry and Commerce. During his time at the Ministry of Housing, he implemented the most extensive endowment campaign in the history of the country, backed by a massive distribution of lots to citizens of all social strata and geographic regions.

In the National Assembly, Dr Ali was also a leading spokesperson on the economy and finance. He served as chair of one of the most important committees, the Public Accounts Committee, and co-chair of the Economic Services Committee of the Parliament of Guyana.
Dr Ali is married and is a father.

In his current role he provides leadership in both regulatory and business development roles. Prior to following his ‘Dream’, Scott spent 11 years as an insurance executive, locally with Allied Insurance Brokers and Marathon Insurance Brokers and in London as a Lloyd’s Broker.

Martin has been driven by his mission to mobilize private capital for impact markets at scale. Accordingly, he has spent the last 15 years of his career shifting the boundaries of the investable universe for institutional capital, executing equity impact investments and structuring investment vehicles.

He and his team are solely active in private markets impact investing. They specialize in building and investing via private market investment vehicles to address environmental and social needs and to facilitate private institutional investors’ access to impact investing. He and his team have set up, invest and manage AfricaGrow, the first German blended finance equity vehicle investing into African Private Equity and Venture Capital to support small and medium enterprises on the continent. AfricaGrow is a private blended finance vehicle and was set up on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in cooperation with KfW and DEG and is advised by DEG Impact.

He and his team also structured, invest and manage the Emerging Market Climate Action Fund (EMCAF), a blended finance equity fund financing early-stage climate transition projects in emerging and developing markets. EMCAF is operated under advice of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and anchored by KfW on behalf of BMU and BMWK, the Nordic Development Fund and the State of Luxembourg. Both AfricaGrow and EMCAF have attracted large scale institutional private capital. The team also structured and invested for the Allianz Impact Investment Fund, which is a non-blended multi-real asset fund targeting OECD markets on behalf of it’s private investors.
Prior to his current role he has set up several real asset equity funds for institutional investors and helped building up an investment incubator within the Allianz Group.

Martin serves on several boards and Advisory Committees of Private Equity and Venture Capital funds in the Impact sector and is active across several initiatives including inter alia the Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance but also the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance and the World Economic Forum.

While there, he was instrumental in originating, structuring, arranging, brokering, underwriting, and listing some of the largest IPOs and public offering of shares in Jamaica’s history.

Prior to that, Dwight was Quantitative Risk Officer, Group Risk Management Division at NCB where he managed group-wide credit risk exposure for the Group with assets of just under J$700 billion, stipulating suitable risk limits for credit portfolios and developing frameworks and models to better analyze and manage risk exposures.

Dwight attained a Master of Science degree in Economics with concentration in Financial Economics and Game Theory from the University of the West Indies, Mona, and a Bachelor of Science degree with honours from the University of the West Indies. He is also certified in Corporate Finance from Euromoney Learning, London.

During this time, she facilitated the sale of the first managed services contract in Jamaica with the then Ritz Carlton Hotel and has led the movement of payroll and general ledger systems from manual to computerized environments at several corporate entities.

In her current role as Director – Government, Enterprise and IT Solutions at C&W Business Jamaica, she is responsible for enabling the technological development of Government and Enterprise organizations.

Robertson’s mission is to transform the Jamaican IT space with innovation using a consultative and strategic premier sales force. To this end, she developed and implemented the Customer Executive Exchange Program (CEE) and IT sales processes that are utilized by sales professionals across the region. Before joining C&W Business, she worked at Columbus Communications, Fujitsu Caribbean (Jamaica) Limited, Infotech Caribbean (Jamaica) Limited and Xerox Jamaica Limited.

Carol is an ordained Minister of Religion and the founder of the “Red Shoe Mission”, a mentorship programme that supports young women between the ages of 15 and 25 years. Terry-Ann Segree-Brown is the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group’s Regional Coordinator for the Caribbean countries, with the IDB Invest, since February 2023. Terry-Ann serves as the key advisor to the Country Department General Manager, to organize, prioritize, and coordinate the interaction within the IDB Group. Her main functions include promoting strategic dialogue in the region to identify development priorities for the private sector, ensuring alignment and coordination of support across the IDB Group.

Prior to this appointment, Terry-Ann was the Private Finance Operations Senior Specialist with the IDB Lab, since March 2018, with a strong focus on building entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystems and testing new innovative solutions to societal problems. His continued educational journey in New Providence saw him throughPalmdale Primary, C. I. Gibson, R. M. Bailey and then Aquinas College, where he successfully graduated in1990. Throughout his early childhood education, Dominic was always described as a strong-willed child who always knew what he wanted or where he was going in life. Little was it known then, that this strong personality would develop to becoming one of his greatest assets that has helped in shaping who he has become today.

Despite his humble roots, Dominic chose not to allow his disposition to define him or his dreams, so when the opportunity came for him to attend college abroad, Dominic knew this would serve as a bridge to his future. Dominic spent two years at Xavier University and then went onto completing his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Humanities from Nichols State University.

Upon returning home, Dominic began his working career as a professional photographer at ParadisePhotographers before joining Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort as Assistant Sales & Public Relations Manager. His passion for marketing led to an offer from famed fashion designer, Peter Nygard which rapidly elevated his career to becoming a sought after business development and marketing professional. Dominic’s reputation for generating results led to him becoming the Director of Marketing and Business Development at the Dolphin Encounter followed by a stint at Diamonds International.

In 2010, Dominic became the Executive Chairman and Senior Vice President of Bahamas Striping, and since then, he and his business partner have presided over the most recognized and well-respected entrepreneurial undertaking that is defining this generation of young Bahamians. Dr. Stanford is a Diplomate of the American Boart of radiology, his educational background includes a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and Medical physics from University of Missouri, Columbia, Master’s degree in Medical Radiation Physics from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed his Postgraduate Medical Physics Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dr. Stanford has a long history of international success developing academic and community centre cancer programs. Previously he served as Associate Professor of Medicine, System Director for Physics and Dosimetry in Radiation Oncology at Geisinger. Dr. Stanford is actively engaged in medical imaging and radiation oncology where he served on many international committees. Including Co-chair of the Student and Trainee Working Group for American Association of Physicist in Medicine, ASRT Radiation Oncology Safety Stakeholders initiative, ASRT Practice Standard in Medical Dosimetry.

His research and development interests include treatment planning, small field dosimetry and quantum biology solution to cancer cure. Dr. Stanford spent a great deal of his career training physicians and physicists in radiation oncology residency. He was awarded educator of the year from the University of Mississippi Medical Center department of radiation oncology.

Dr. Stanford has a passion and vision to provide access to quality cancer care in Jamaica and the
